SHEPA The Genesis

Society for Higher Education and Practical Applications (SHEPA) is the outcome of foresight, ploneering, zeal and philanthropic spirit of renowned business group Rungta Project Limited which envisioned, created, supported and nurtured it. SHEPA as a pioneering umbrella organization came into existence in 1999 and got registered under Indian societies Act of 1861. It is located at Bachchaon, on Mohansaral Deen Datal Upadhyay Nagar (Mughalsaral) bypass road in the southwest of Banaras Hindu University. It is about 10 km from Varanasi Junction, Station and about 7 km away from Banaras Railway Station.

SHEPA Campus is spread over 10 acres of lush green land in beautiful, scenic and serene setting with canopies of magnificent avenues. It is housed in modern multistoried majestic buildings of awe-inspiring architectural design with all the necessary equipment and infrastructure required for quality ethos. The Wi-Fi campus is a real blend of natural beauty and technological advancement. Encouraging innovativeness of the student in order to attain its objectives effectively, it has launched professional programmes in the areas of computer science: management and education under its different institutes in successive stages with a comparatively affordable economic fee-structure. It is equipped with highly rich academic and practical experiences in the areas of their specialization. Eminent academician and practitioners are frequently invited to share their views and experiences on contemporary issues.

Seminars, conferences and workshops are also organized regularly to provide an opportunity of interaction and interface with the academicians of apex institutions. SHEPA provides an innovative platform for undertaking projects and bunching cost- effective, job oriented programmes in the field of higher education with focus on value system and skill development through practical applications. This is to facilitate and contribute to the employability of the student and the socio- economic conditions of the society and the country at large.

SHEPA channelizes all its resources on forging skills, attitudes and enriching the minds of young scholars. With a view to sharpening the needed skills and promoting innovativeness, a strong pedagogical exposure is given to the students in the form of class lecture, presentation, groups discussion, case method, role play, games and panel discussions.

An endeavour has also been made to achieve transcendence of the syllabus to expose the students to new concepts and techniques so as to improve their competencies and sharpen their competitive edge. Thus, SHEPA legitimately takes pride in developing and nurturing young individuals with thorough academic grounding and ‘hands on’ experiences in the area they seek to make them career. The two institutions of SHEPA are recognized under 2(F) and 12 (B) of the U.G.C. which is the apex body in the field of higher education.
